Keira Knightley is an English actress and producer. Born in Teddington, London, she began her career as a child actor in television commercials before making her breakthrough with the 2002 film Bend It Like Beckham. She has appeared in several Hollywood films, including Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007) and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011).
She has also branched out into more dramatic roles with The Jacket (2005), for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama; Pride & Prejudice (2005); Atonement (2007); Anna Karenina (2012) and Suite Française (2015).
Knightley is married to musician James Righton, and they have one daughter together named Edie.
